Out of Coffee
I ran out of coffee this morning. Well, not right out. There was enough left for DH and I to each have one cup. Somehow that was worse than not having any coffee. Kind of like a tease. I suppose I could walk over to the nearest coffee shop, but it’s cold and damp. The kind of day you just want to stay in. I’ll settle for tea.
Three more days until NaNo, and truth is, I could use another three weeks. All through October I’ve been running myself ragged trying to get everything done so my November is free and clear for my WIP.
I do some bookkeeping and have playing catch up ever since my computer crashed. For the past two weeks, that’s pretty much all I’ve done, putting most things writing on the back burner. The experience has certainly reminded me why I don’t want return to anything accounting related as a full time career.

Behind Again

Oops! I’ve been neglecting my blog yet again. Not good. I’ve been incredibly busy, but that’s no excuse.
I’m almost finished cleaning up The Witch’s Stone. Eight chapters to go, YAY!. This has been a lengthy endeavor, and one I hope to never have to do again. That said, I do believe I’ve managed to beef up the emotion in this story. I’m entering it in a contest next week so I’ll get an idea if my hard work has paid off at all.
Blood and Bone is coming along. I don’t think I’ve ever had a first draft this rough before. It’s interesting because some chapters are great and only need a little tweaking while others need to be scrapped and rewritten from scratch. Very time consuming. I’m hoping to start to submitting this one to agents in the new year. The beginning of Feb if all goes well.
I signed up for NaNoWriMo this year. I’ve had a new story that I’ve been holding back from starting just for this event so I’m really looking forward to it. This is the first year I’ve tried it, so wish me luck.
I’m so supposed to be going to a RWA chapter meeting today, but after throwing my neck out last weekend (long HellHound story), I think I’m going to skip it. My neck was a lot better on Wednesday, but I spent most of the day in front of the computer on an uncomfortable chair and when I woke up Thursday it was as bad as the day I did it. Today my neck is feeling much better (Yay to muscle relaxers!) but it’s still a little stiff, and I’m worried that sitting on an uncomfortable chair three hours will set me back again.
