Finally!!!

At last I have opened my mail to something other than a rejection. I’ve had a request for a full manuscript, and from Berkley/Jove. I can hardly believe it. This is for Living Lies which I was three submissions away from retiring to ‘the drawer’.

I submitted a partial to them about six months ago and had pretty much given up the idea of hearing from. (Postage rate changes rendered my SASE useless.) Yet sure enough there in my mailbox is said SASE. Inside, a letter composed of only two lines–interestingly shorter than most rejections I’ve received.

Mood: Ecstatic
